Gardening....A Beginner's thoughts

Well since this is my first post i'd like to explain a few things. I live in Dehli, India and I just love plants. However, that doesn't mean I know much about gardening!
The title of this blog, Dhara, means Earth in Hindi. Another meaning of dhara(pronounced dhaara) is stream. So I thought it would be pretty appropriate. Especially in light of the fact that every possible combination of the words - earth, plants, garden, novice etc. for the title were already taken up!

  1. Hi Sujata, welcome to the gardening blogosphere! And thank you for 'following' my blog.

It's wonderful to see another Indian here:-) I've been blogging for more than a year and still learning...but it's in such a fun way that I'm glad I'm there!! I hope the renovation at your place doesn't take too long. From the potted plants on the ledge, I think your collection's enviable.

Love the name of your blog...simple, yet so significant. Wish you many happy hours/years of blogging.
BTW, you could also check out www.blotanical.com (if you haven't already done so). It's the best gardening site on the planet! Blog on!

  2. Thanks for the welcome Kanak. The feeling is mutual. Have been reading gardening blogs for a long time now but India garden was the only Indian blogger I had come across in all this while till I came across www.biotanical.com.
