Petunias

My balcony is looking rather pretty these days with beautiful Petunia blooms. I always found Petunias a little plain and boring but last year I noticed that things seems to have changed . Now there are many new cultivars with bright colors and stunning patterns. So November last I planted some petunias I bought from a nursery and now I'm so glad I did! 

                           

 

 

 

The Petunia Picotee variety with the contrasting margins are particularly eye catching. 

Dahlias..........until we meet again

Its time to bid goodbye to the Dahlias and these are the last blooms of this season.

Isnt this one just beautiful?


Nature's color combinations are perfect aren't they?
It seems so long before I'll get to see them again...

Summer color in the garden

The Portulacas have begun to bloom and are spreading fast.
The seedlings below, in the beginning of April.
Love the bright colors!

They have self seeded in the ipomea pots. I am looking forward to seeing that interesting mix once they bloom.
